RDrive supports two types of schedules, depending on whether time tracking is required.
1. No Time Tracking
This schedule type is suitable for simple task management where scheduling is not required.
Characteristics
Tasks do not include a Start Date, End Date, or Duration.
Tasks are managed without any time-related calculations.
2. Time Tracking
This schedule type is suitable for projects that require task scheduling. Three time tracking modes are available depending on the project requirements.
Dependency
Best for: Project planning
Concept
Task dates are automatically calculated based on task dependencies (predecessors) and the working calendar.
When the duration or predecessor of a task changes, all related task dates are automatically recalculated.
Non-working hours and holidays are excluded from the schedule.
Calendar
Best for: Project coordination
Concept
Task dates are automatically adjusted according to the configured working calendar.
Task duration skips non-working hours, weekends, and holidays.
Task dates are not affected by predecessor relationships.
Time
Best for: Record keeping
Concept
Start and end times are recorded exactly as entered.
Dates and times are not adjusted automatically.
Working calendars, weekends, holidays, and non-working hours are ignored.
Suitable when actual event times need to be preserved.
