Can I remove the documents attached to a form?

Sometimes a document is no longer valid to a form as time passes. Alternatively, on occasion, the incorrect documents are attached to a form.

What can you do if this is the case?

You can unlink unwanted documents from the form. However, it will not be removed/deleted due to data dignity, the user is still able to download the unlinked document from history.

(You will not be able to unlink documents when a form is at closed status)

To unlink a document you must firstly gain access to the form viewer page by selecting the relevant category and subcategory. Once in the form viewer, simply press the 3 dots ⋮ icon to explore the dropdown menu and select "Links" via the view option in the Menu as shown below.

All the link fields of this form will be listed by the field title for your selection as shown below. Now simply select the relevant documentation as required.

(Please note that this page would be skipped if there is only one link field on the form)

The linked items will now be shown if any are available. Now simply press "EDIT" to edit.

To remove a linked document, simply click on it or press the "Deselect all" button to deselect all. The "Select all" and "Deselect all" icons are shown below for clarity.

Once deselected, you should no longer see a grey background for the document indicating that this document has been deselected and press "DONE".

 Now simply press "DELETE" to confirm.

Your document is now unlinked.

You will see confirmation of this in the Edit Link window as shown highlighted below, as you can see there are no documents linked. Now you can simply press "OK" to save your work.

Pressing outside of the Link window or pressing the Esc key will close your action.
