✅ Step 2: Enter Your Company URL
When you first open the app, you will be asked for your Company URL.
This identifies the RDrive environment you need to connect to.
Your Company URL is the first part of your RDrive web address.
For example:
Web address: https://snagr.rdrive.io
Company URL: snagr
Enter your Company URL and select NEXT.

Using your QR Code
If your welcome email contains an RDrive QR code, you can scan this instead of manually entering your Company URL.
Scanning the QR code will automatically identify the correct RDrive environment for you.
You will still need to enter your login details to continue.
✅ Step 3: Log In
After entering your Company URL, you'll be asked to log in.
The login method available to you will depend on the security settings configured by your company.
Standard Login
If your company uses the standard login method:
- Enter the email address registered against your RDrive account.
- Enter your password.
- Select NEXT.
Passwordless Login
If your company has enabled Passwordless Login, you don't need to enter an account password.
Enter your registered email address and select NEXT.
You can then verify your login using one of the available authentication methods:
- Approve on an authenticated device – a login request is sent to another device that has already been authenticated.
- Send Passcode to Email – RDrive sends a 6-digit verification code to your registered email address.
- Use a Passcode from the RDrive App – if you have another authenticated device, you can generate a 6-digit passcode from the RDrive app.
First time using Passwordless? For your first login, you'll need to authenticate using the passcode sent to your registered email address.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
If your company has enabled Two-Factor Authentication, you'll first enter your:
- Registered email address
- RDrive account password
You'll then be asked to complete a second authentication step.
You can authenticate by:
- Approving the login on an authenticated device
- Receiving a 6-digit passcode by email
- Using a 6-digit passcode generated by the RDrive app on another authenticated device
First time using 2FA? Your first login must be authenticated using the passcode sent to your registered email address.
About RDrive Passcodes
RDrive verification passcodes contain 6 digits.
If you're using the Passcode Generator within the RDrive app, the code automatically regenerates every 30 seconds, so you don't need to remember or save it.
Once successfully logged in, RDrive will display the projects available to your account.
Can't see the project you need? Project access is controlled by your RDrive administrator. If a project isn't listed, check that you have been added to the project.
Downloading a Project
✅ Step 4: Select Your Project
Locate the project you want to work on and select the Download icon.
[IMAGE PLACEHOLDER – Available projects and Download button]
Before RDrive begins downloading the project, you will be asked to choose a Download Mode.
The option you choose determines how project images and drawings are stored and accessed on your device.
Choosing a Download Mode
RDrive provides Offline and Online download options.
For most site-based users, we recommend Offline Mode.
| Mode | Best For | How It Works |
|---|---|---|
| Offline Mode – Recommended | Site working and unreliable/restricted internet | Downloads drawings and project images to your device so they remain available without an internet connection. |
| Online – Download Project Assets | Slow or intermittent connections | Downloads key project assets such as drawings and form template images, while other images are loaded when required. |
| Online – Lazy Load Project Assets | Fast and reliable connections | Images, drawings and other assets are loaded when you access them rather than during the initial project download. |
Offline Mode – Recommended
Choose Offline Mode when you need to work without relying on a consistent internet connection.
Project drawings and images are downloaded to your device during synchronisation.
Advantages
- Work without a reliable internet connection
- Drawings and images remain available on site
- Images generally load faster once downloaded
Considerations
- Initial synchronisation takes longer
- Uses more storage on your device
Online – Download Project Assets
This provides a balance between offline availability and device storage.
Base drawings and form template images are downloaded during synchronisation, while other images are loaded when required.
This can be useful where your connection is available but may be slow or intermittent.
Online – Lazy Load Project Assets
Choose this option when you have a fast and consistent internet connection.
Images and drawings aren't downloaded during the initial synchronisation. Instead, they're loaded when you access them.
This reduces the initial download time and storage requirement, but you'll be more dependent on your internet connection while working.
Tip: If you're unsure which option to choose, particularly when working on a construction site, choose Offline Mode.

✅ Step 5: Allow the Project to Download
Once you've selected your download mode, RDrive will begin downloading and synchronising the project.
Allow this process to complete before starting work.
For larger projects, particularly when using Offline Mode, the initial download may take longer because RDrive is downloading the project's drawings and images to your device.
Where possible, complete your initial download using a reliable Wi-Fi connection.

Once complete, select the project to access it.
Your project is now ready to use.
Accessing Additional Projects
If you have access to multiple RDrive projects, you don't need to log out or reinstall the app to access them.
✅ Step 1: Open Your Projects
From within the app, use the Back arrow in the top-left corner to return to the project management screen.

✅ Step 2: Add Another Project
Select the + button in the top-right corner.
RDrive will display the other projects available to your account.

- Select the Download icon next to the project.
- Choose your preferred Online or Offline download mode and allow the project to synchronise.
- Once downloaded, it will appear in your main project list.
Switching Between Projects
You can have multiple projects downloaded to the RDrive app at the same time.
Return to the Projects screen and select the project you want to open.
Best Practice: Before switching projects, allow your current project to fully synchronise. This ensures any work completed on your device has been uploaded to RDrive.

Removing and Re-Adding a Project
[VIDEO PLACEHOLDER]
Occasionally, RDrive Support may ask you to remove and re-add a project if the data on your device isn't synchronising as expected.
For example, you may not be seeing:
- Recently updated drawings
- Updated users or teams
- Updated issues or project information
Removing and downloading the project again gives the app a fresh copy of the project's data.
⚠️ Important – Synchronise FirstDo not remove a project if you have unsynchronised work on your device.
Removing the project will remove locally stored, unsynchronised information.
Make sure your project has successfully synchronised before continuing.
✅ Step 1: Open Projects
Return to the Projects screen in the RDrive app.
✅ Step 2: Remove the Project
Swipe left on the project you want to remove.
Select Delete and confirm when prompted.
✅ Step 3: Re-Add the Project
Select the + button in the top-right corner.
Find the project in your available project list and select the Download icon.
Choose the appropriate download mode and allow the project to fully download and synchronise.
You can then reopen the project and continue working.
Best Practices
Synchronise regularly
Allow RDrive to synchronise whenever you have a suitable internet connection. This uploads your work and downloads the latest project information.
Synchronise before switching projects
If you've completed work in one project, allow it to synchronise before moving to another.
Use Wi-Fi for large downloads
Offline projects can contain a significant number of drawings, forms and images. Wi-Fi is recommended for the initial download.
Consider device storage
Offline Mode stores more project information locally. If you work across several large projects, keep an eye on the available storage on your device.
Don't remove a project with unsynchronised work
Always make sure your latest work has successfully synchronised before deleting a project from the app.
FAQs & Troubleshooting
Q: I don't know my Company URL. Where can I find it?
A: Your Company URL is the first part of your RDrive web address.
For example, if your RDrive address begins https://snagr.rdrive.io, your Company URL is snagr.
If you're unsure, contact your RDrive administrator.
Q: Why am I not being asked for a password?
A: Your company may have enabled Passwordless Login.
With Passwordless Login, you enter your registered email address and then verify your identity using an authenticated device or a 6-digit RDrive passcode.
Q: Why am I being asked for a verification code after entering my password?
A: Your company may have Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled.
Your password is the first authentication step. RDrive then requires a second verification method, such as approving the login from an authenticated device or entering a 6-digit passcode.
Q: I can't see my project. What should I do?
A: Only projects you've been given access to will appear.
Contact your project administrator and ask them to check that you've been added to the required project.
Q: Which download mode should I use?
A: For most users working on site, we recommend Offline Mode, particularly where Wi-Fi or mobile data may be unreliable.
If you have a consistently strong connection and want to minimise the amount of data stored on your device, an Online option may be more appropriate.
Q: Can I use RDrive without an internet connection?
A: Yes. If you've downloaded your project using Offline Mode, the required project drawings and images are stored on your device so you can continue working without an active internet connection.
You'll need to reconnect later to synchronise your changes with RDrive.
Q: Can I have more than one project on the app?
A: Yes. Go to the Projects screen and select the + button to see and download additional projects available to your account.
Q: Can I switch between projects?
A: Yes. You can switch between any projects downloaded to your device from the Projects screen.
We recommend synchronising your current project before switching.
Q: Why is my project taking a long time to download?
A: Large projects can contain significant numbers of drawings and images.
Offline Mode downloads these files to your device, so the initial synchronisation can take longer.
Use a reliable Wi-Fi connection where possible and allow the download to finish before beginning work.
Q: Why can't I see a drawing or image when using Online Mode?
A: Online Mode may load images only when they're required. If your connection is weak or unavailable, RDrive may not be able to retrieve the image.
If you regularly work with unreliable connectivity, Offline Mode may be more suitable.
Q: When should I remove and re-add a project?
A: This may be recommended if your project isn't synchronising correctly or you're not receiving updated project information.
Normally, you should only do this as part of troubleshooting or when advised by RDrive Support.
Q: Will I lose my work if I remove a project?
A: Any information that has already synchronised with RDrive is stored against the project.
However, unsynchronised work stored only on your device can be lost when the project is removed.
Always make sure the project is fully synchronised before deleting it from your device.
Q: My QR code isn't working. Can I still log in?
A: Yes. You can manually enter your Company URL instead.
If you're trying to scan the QR code, also check that the RDrive app has permission to access your device's camera.
